It can be associated with neck of femur fracture or/and posterior dislocation of the hip. This fracture is very rare fracture and has not been reported at our sub-region. We present this fracture in a 26 year old with a type I Pipkin fracture treated with closed reduction and percutaneous k-wire fixation.
