Both echocardiography and computed tomography scanning demonstrated migration of the aortic valve into the left ventricle, causing severe aortic and mitral (secondary) insufficiency. Following heart team discussions, the sutureless valve was replaced with a standard bioprosthesis (Perimount, Magna Ease; Edwards Lifesciences, Irvine, California, USA) with spontaneous restoration of native mitral valve competence.
