本研究首次报道了线虫科(鞘翅目)4种幼虫的核型:favarius Trichodes (Illiger, 1802)、quadriguttatus Adams(1817)、reichei Trichodes (Mulsant et Rey, 1863)和transversalis Tilloidea (Charpentier, 1825)。4种的染色体数分别为2n = 18,性染色体系Xyp,除y染色体外,其余染色体均为异向心。加上本研究,该科仅有17种的染色体数据。值得注意的是,它们都显示出相同的染色体数目和相似的核型。这可能使核型特征在解释菊科植物的进化过程中发挥重要作用。
