We report a case of 10-year-old male child who presented with abnormal body movements and altered consciousness. MRI revealed typical Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome (MERS) type II lesions. On follow-up, although patient improved clinically with reversal of MERS type II lesions; however, multiple punctuate blooming foci, suggesting microhemorrhages, were seen on imaging in bilateral cerebral hemispheres.
