Scholarly Research of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management: A Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis
Abstract This study comprehensively investigates knowledge domain, and leading research trends that appeared in the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management (CSREM) journal using bibliometric techniques, covering all articles and reviews published therein between 2003 and 2021. The analysis indicates that this journal has seen a remarkable evolution in the annual number of documents published and their impact. It published 1,018 publications during the period under study, which attracted 35,245 citations (34.62 times per document). A science mapping analysis of the intellectual structure of this journal developed using VOSviewer software shows that it is well connected with top-tier sources focusing on the environmental sustainability field. The collaborative publications have grown relatively faster, where 2,780 authors from 86 countries have published. Spain, Italy, and China are leading contributors to this journal. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the share of publications from developing countries such as China, Pakistan, and Malaysia has been increased substantially. The analysis of bursting keywords identified by applying CiteSpace software indicates that corporate governance, environmental policy, and firm performance have become significant research foci.
