Higher Education’s Emergence from the COVID-19 Global Pandemic
The current coronavirus pandemic is frightening, as we see both our darker and brighter selves. Our darker selves are tempted to attack the great “other” – divisiveness, xenophobia, and blaming. But our brighter selves have a chance to construct a world that is more scientific, more rational, more humane, and more international. In this essay, we remain hopeful by exploring how a better society can emerge from the global pandemic and the role of higher education in that effort.
