According to the National Federation of poultry farmers-Fenavi, in 2018 the per capital consumption was 293 units. This consumption generates a high volume of shell as waste; that has led researchers to be interested in its use in different areas, promoting the development of enterprises. That would contribute to the reduction environmental impact, due to the inappropriate waste management ordinary as it is the case of the eggshell, also becoming a risk factor for sustainability and environmental sustainability. This review shows studies of the use of the shell as agri-food waste in different areas such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food industry. 摘要
