¿Ciegos ante la Perspectiva de Género o Ciegos ante la Evidencia Empírica sobre la Violencia en las Relaciones de Pareja? Comentario a Ferrer-Pérez y Bosch-Fiol, 2019

The authors answers the article in which empirical studies revealing that violence in relationships is a complex and multicausal phenomenon affecting both sexes are accused of gender blindness. A review is made of fallacies that underlie a discourse based on the suppression of all evidence against the prevailing ideology, citing only reports containing data of violence committed by men against women. The main problems that this distorted vision of reality entails for the implementation of programs for the prevention and treatment of violence are also addressed. As a consequence of this evidence blindness, there is a lack of resources to help and support male victims and women who use violence in their intimate relationships.
