Through the questionnaire and interview study, as well as the contrastive study of the Romanian and Chinese phonetic characteristics, this article demonstrates the negative transfer of Romanian in Chinese phonetic acquisition in the aspects of syllable tone, sentence intonation, initial and final consonants, and retroflex final. The acoustic software Praat visualizes the negative transfer of the native language in Chinese intonation.
