While serum potassium and serum enzymes level shown significant increase (P < 0.01) during tetanic attacks. On the other hand serum sodium and inorganic phosphorus level were dropped slightly. Each calf was treated for three successive days with magnesium and calcium salts, with tranquilizers, in addition to sodium chloride for relief of dehydration. 摘要

本试验纳入28头患有低镁血症性手足搐缩的自然发病犊牛,通过测定血清中镁、钙、钠、无机磷、钾和SGOT & CPK酶的水平进行临床诊断。血清镁、钙水平显著降低(P<0.01)。血清钾和血清酶水平在破伤风发作期间显著升高(P < 0.01)。血清钠、无机磷水平略有下降。每头小牛都连续三天服用镁盐、钙盐、镇静剂以及氯化钠来缓解脱水。与商业制剂相比,使用这些药物后,破伤风发作的频率逐渐下降,并在治疗完成后完全消失。
