在中国发现的新型冠状病毒(现在称为SARS-CoV2)在不到三个月的时间里就成为了一场大流行。感染SARS-CoV-2的患者在胸部计算机断层扫描中表现为发热、呼吸困难、淋巴细胞减少、嗅觉缺失、发音困难和毛玻璃样混浊。临床表现从轻度疾病到呼吸衰竭、休克和多器官衰竭。ESE国立癌症研究所报告了前两例癌症患者和新冠肺炎合并感染的诊断。
