摘要
Vansoniella gen. n.属的建立是为了容纳由Van Son于1937年在津巴布韦收集的V. chirindensis sp. n.。这个新物种与其他非洲分类群的外部区别在于雄性半透明的前翅和后翅。翅脉是高度分化的，雄性生殖器在结构上也不同于其他属。该属在科中占有孤立的地位。
