This research studies the use of AES cryptography-based communication scheme against the TLS-based communication scheme, which can be used to create end-to-end secure communication channels from the MQTT publishers to the MQTT subscribers. Experimental results show that the TLS-based communication scheme possess the highest cost in terms of communication delay and network cost among all schemes in the experiment. 摘要

物联网(IoT)技术需要低延迟通信。物联网中的轻量级协议之一是MQTT协议。但是,MQTT协议没有配备适当的安全机制。因此,MQTT消息很容易被攻击者窃听和修改。本研究研究了基于AES密码的通信方案与基于TLS的通信方案的使用,后者可用于创建从MQTT发布者到MQTT用户的端到端安全通信信道。实验结果表明,在所有实验方案中,基于TLS的通信方案在通信延迟和网络成本方面具有最高的成本。最终,基于AES的MQTT通信方案更适合物联网环境,因为它的通信延迟和网络成本与基于明文的MQTT通讯相当。
