The current state of research on the use of CVD diamonds in diamond tools is reviewed. Features of single crystal and polycrystalline CVD diamonds and CVD diamond films are shown. Their comparative properties are given. Their structure and the peculiarities of processing their surfaces are shown. The journal covers all fundamental and technological aspects of synthesis, characterization, properties, devices and applications of these materials. The journal welcomes manuscripts from all countries in the English language.
