The study of age structure of toads was carried out using skeletochronology. The minimal and maximal ages in males of B. zamdaensis were 4 and 7 years, respectively, with mean age of 5.4 years. The majority of males (60%) were 5 years old. The age in females ranged from 5 to 9 years with mean value of 6.1 years. The majority of females (71%) were 5 – 6 years old. Males of B. zamdaensis can reach maturation after four winterings and females after five winterings. 摘要

本文首次提供了来自印度喜马偕尔邦的赞达蟾蜍Bufotes zamdaensis (Boulenger, 1882)的年龄结构和生长数据。利用骨骼年代学对蟾蜍的年龄结构进行了研究。赞达白蛉雄性最小年龄为4岁,最大年龄为7岁,平均年龄为5.4岁。大多数男性(60%)为5岁。女性年龄5 ~ 9岁,平均6.1岁。大多数女性(71%)为5 - 6岁。雄虫越冬4次,雌虫越冬5次即可成熟。与近缘种不同的是,在第1和第2个越冬后,雌雄的生长速率都没有明显下降,在第3和第4个越冬后仍然保持较高的生长速率。
