hard to read as the author mixes text of the copyright law with her own explanation. The copyright law text is italicized, but it can still be a bit confusing, requiring a re-read. Part Three covers creating a course reserves copyright workflow, accessibility and mitigating legal risk. The chapter on accessibility brings in a discussion of section 121 (Limitations on Exclusive Rights: Reproduction for Blind or Other People with Disabilities) which covers making accessible copies of works. This chapter is especially important and useful for providing reserves services to all library users. Illustrating how up to date this book is, it includes a chapter on mitigating risk includes a section on the CASE (Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement) Act of 2020 and how it impacts libraries and their staff. Once read through, I see this book as a useful reference manual. Unfortunately, the book could use a more detailed table of contents so it can better be used in this way. For example, the chapter on fair use devotes detailed sections to each of the four factors of fair use and provides real world examples. The chapter even covers the landmark Georgia State case of 2012. The chapter on 108 Reproduction by Libraries and Archives covers interlibrary library loan and personal copies. These sections are not listed in the table of contents making them hard to find later. Overall, this is an important work that brings together information for a wide array of sources. This book will be the first place I turn the next time I have any copyright question. I highly recommend it.
