Tips from the trenches

The galaxy of electronic resources (i.e. all of the materials in digital format and accessible electronically, also known as e-resources) is the focus of much of the responsibilities of librarians and library staff today. Whether we are curating materials for the library’s collection, providing and maintaining the technological infrastructure that allows users to use e-resources, or assisting said users in how to access and use the research databases, ebooks, ejournals, streaming services, and so on, we find ourselves shaped and influenced by this ever-changing realm. Let’s focus on just one of the inhabitants of this domain—streaming media.
