The dynamic development of the internet and the emergence of new digital technologies made possible the beginning of a new era for communication in general and journalism in particular. Digital journalism, which has just completed its first quarter of life, has overcome and undergone profound transformations since its emergence. The magnitude of the changes that occurred during the last 25 years of digital journalism has given way to a new communication scenario full of opportunities but also professional and ethical challenges (Salaverría, 2019).
