Careful evaluation of an elderly patient preoperatively is vital to proper patient selection for ambulatory surgeries<span>, particularly for complex and lengthy procedures. Cognitive issues, frailty<span>, and geriatric syndromes make a patient vulnerable and sometimes unsuitable for certain ambulatory procedures.
