We have learned from the experience of intentional communities, such as those supporting recovery from addiction, that sharing the exercise of authority is vital to the survival of the group. Thus, mutual-support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous recommend rotation of leadership to protect the group from exclusive reliance on one member who may become unavailable through relapse or departure from the group. I have therefore invited our editorial board members and reviewers to join in a revised editorial structure for our journal. Twenty-three colleagues have agreed to be part of our new editorial board. Each of them has committed to managing the review process for one issue of the journal in the role of editor for that issue (see Table 1).
