Numerical Simulation of 7 GHz Radar in Breast Tissue Dielectic Inhomogeneity Detection
This paper presents the results of mathematical simulation carried out to confirm the possibility of using a short range subsurface radar for the detection of breast tumors. The software used was designed for the numerical solution of electromagnetic problems using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method. It was shown that for simulated conditions the proposed method can detect dielectric inhomogeneities modelling tumors and cysts in biological tissues.
