Ponto de vista emocionado no gênero discursivo comentário on-line – violência verbal

In this article, the object of analysis is commentaries, produced by on-line users of a news site, in reaction to material addressing the torture suffered by inmates at a women's prison in Pará. To carry out this study, the following objectives were established: to describe, analyze and interpret the Point of View (POV) underlying the commentaries of the first speaker/enunciators (S1/E1) regarding tortures suffered by these incarcerated women. The analysis revealed that the POV underlying the commentaries is characterized by verbal violence, expressing a feeling of hate toward the women prisoners. It is quite probable that the platform, being digital, contributed to uninhibiting the S1/E1s to produce enunciations fraught with hate, as this means of communication permits them to be unconcerned with saving face.
