Especially the translation activities of the eastern and western classics initiated during the Umayyad period brought the Renaissance to the Islamic society. This scholarly and cultural activities gained momentum with the Abbasid Arab societies have come to a different stage with his foot on the Iberian Peninsula and in this period has contributed to rid Europe from the darkness of the Middle Ages through the resulting madrasas and libraries. The Andalusian civilization brought together a variety of cultural and scientific accumulations, thus enabling the emergence of a unique style of intellectual structure. In addition, books and libraries, which are the biggest supporters of scientists, have enriched and have become one of the indispensables of the society. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the role of Andalusian libraries in the production of scientific knowledge. It also emphasizes the importance of the libraries that form the support column in the production of scientific information. At this point, Andalusian libraries, translation activities and scientific developments were examined on the basis of domestic and foreign literature.
