This case also highlights that GTT can present as severe and symptomatic hyperthyroidism contrary to its usual presentation of subclinical or mild overt hyperthyroidism. Learning Points 1. Gestational thyrotoxicosis associated with HG can present with severe toxicosis. 2. Symptomatic treatment may be sufficient for the management of this condition. Background One of the etiologies of hyperthyroidism in pregnancy is GTT1.
