This method comprises reacting of a concentrated solution of ammonia water with high purity anhydrous nickel(II) perrhenate(VII). The resulting tetraaminenickel(II) perrhenate is reduced under dissociated ammonia conditions, to obtain Re-Ni alloy powder. The article also provides information on selected physicochemical properties of the produced powder.
