In 2014 biorepository started to act as Biobank Lab of University of Lodz (BLUL/Biobank Lodz). The Biobank Lodz joined the BBMRI_PL (consortium of Polish biobanks) in 2014 and in 2016 BLUL became a member of the BCNet (Biobank and Cohort Building Network) and ESBB (European and Middle Eastern Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking). The BLUL stores over 12.200 samples and their data, including section of formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) and fluid samples (serum, full blood, saliva).
