Data on age, sex, racial and geographical differences of this pathology in different countries are given. Much attention is paid to a detailed review of data on primary morbidity (incidence) and general morbidity (prevalence). The results of authors’ own study of prevalence and incidence of systemic lupus erythematosus in the urban population of the Republic of Belarus are analyzed.
