Visible light communication using MIMO channel to achieve better SNR at high bit rate
In today's scenario, efficient usage of resources in applications like data communications plays an important role. This paper presents a data transfer mechanism through visible light communication (VLC). The VLC technology has become an alternative solution for next generation communication technology by offering low cost and unregulated bandwidth. In this work, for the transmission of multiple data streams from the transmitter to the receiver, we use Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation technique. The signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) is greatly improved by obtaining the incident ray point between the transmitter and the receiver using Lambertian emission pattern.
