The DNS with an antenna with x- and y-configured beams is considered. It is shown that the use of data from the y-configured beam model is not enough to provide the required accuracy in determining the speed and direction of the wind. In this regard, an algorithm is proposed for a two-stage measurement of the parameters of the sea-surface wind.
