Synthesis and characterization of polymer-immobilized β-cyclodextrin with an inclusion recognition functionality

A series of β-cyclodextrin (β-CyD) was immobilized onto the crosslinked styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer which embedded polyglycidylmethacrylate. The resulting β-CyD polymeric adsorbent possesses a specific inclusion recognition with the aromatic compounds. The structures and properties of the grafted copolymer were characterized in detail.
