The samples were in the form of thin foils and the activities produced after irradiation were determined using absolute 4πβ-γ coincidence counting techniques. The Value of the <sup>56</sup>Fe(<em>n, p</em>)<sup>56</sup>Mn cross-section used as the standard was 109·8 ± 2·9 mb.
