CHARACTERISTICS OF NEUROMUSCULAR BLOCKADE PRODUCED BY GALLAMINE, PANCURONIUM AND VECURONIUM (ORG NC-45), AND ANTAGONISM WITH NEOSTIGMINE IN ANAESTHETIZED HORSES
A cumulative dose response method was used to study neuromuscular potency and duration of gallamine, pancuronium and vecuronium (ORG NC-45) in anaesthetized horses. Characteristics of the blockade and reversibility with neostigmine were compared in the 3 drugs based on responses to 2 HZ and tetanic stimulation. Recorded digital extensor responses were compared with observed responses during tetanic stimulation of the facial nerve.
