Data were collected from the sampled respondents on a structured questionnaire through face-to-face interview technique. Results show that the majority of the respondents migrated during 2001 and 2010. Along with the poverty and social amenities, other major reasons behind the migration in the study area were access to quality education, the war against terrorism, employment opportunities, and health issues. Majority of the joint families converted to the nuclear family system after the migration. Their economic conditions were enhanced.  As far as pre and post-migration facilities were concerned, positive changes were observed in the research area. 摘要

本研究的重点是确定农村-城市移徙对巴基斯坦白沙瓦地区移徙家庭社会经济状况的影响。通过比例抽样技术,从白沙瓦市四个不同地点共抽样150名受访者参与了研究。通过面对面访谈技术,对抽样调查对象进行结构化问卷调查。结果表明,2001年和2010年期间,大部分被调查者迁移。除了贫困和社会便利之外,研究地区移民的其他主要原因还包括获得优质教育、反恐战争、就业机会和健康问题。大多数联合家庭在移民后转变为核心家庭制度。他们的经济状况得到改善。就迁移前和迁移后的设施而言,研究区发生了积极的变化。建议政府和有关当局确保向农村人口提供基本的社会经济设施和非农就业机会,以便尽可能减少向城市迁移的比例。
