Firstly, the characteristics of signal spectrum and ambiguity function are analyzed in detail. Considering that the waveform and parameters of DTMB signal are not specially designed for radar system, thus after coherent processing, the ambiguity function will output lots of sub peaks, which directly reduce the performance of target detection. Then, a side peak suppression method is proposed. Finally, the feasibility of DTMB passive radar detecting for space targets is researched.
