IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH IN REGIONAL ACADEMIC PRACTICES: A CASE STUDY OF ASIAN-PACIFIC COUNTRIES

The paper reviews the historical backdrop of English language with specific identification of its various roles in academic domain. The study is aimed at highlighting spread of English language that is encountered in history since eighteenth century and is still in pace of advancement within the Asia-Pacific region. The data have been collected from different textbooks, research studies and the video documentaries on YouTube channel.
