Based on the data and its characteristics of the sewage treatment plant outlet water in Foshan, the polluting factors which have a greater polluting impact to assess the water quality were ascertained, and the membership functions and fuzzy matrix were established, finally the outlet water quality of the sewage treatment plant was evaluated. The results indicated that they are consistent with the measured water level. This method is simple, effective and intuitive.
