The source of the research data was taken from the Fajar Daily opinion rubric. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques, reading and note-taking techniques, and intuition techniques. Data analysis techniques used in this study, namely identifying sentences containing conceptual metaphors, classifying data based on existing problems, analyzing data by describing in detail the problems contained in the data that has been collected, and presenting the results of data analysis by describing the results of the analysis. by using a formulation that will be poured in written form using ordinary words. Based on the analysis conducted, it shows that in the two-week edition of Fajar Daily's opinion rubric in March 2021 found 3 types of metaphors and 27 metaphorical words, namely (1) structural metaphors with 5 data, (2) orientational metaphors with 7 data, and (3 ) ontological metaphor as many as 15 data.
