Time-of-flight model for the extraordinary optical transmission through two dimensional aperture arrays
A qualitative model describing the extraordinary optical transmission of THz radiation through periodic subwavelength two dimensional aperture arrays is presented. Extensive THz-TDS measurements support this model, where the combined effects of aperture shape, area, alignment and aspect ratio have been systematically investigated.
