Phase Structure of Boride Layers on Iron Substrates with Electroplated Cobalt Layers
Specimens made of Armco iron were electroplated with cobalt and then boronized with 2.2 vol% BCl3 in H2 at 1223 K. The boride layers obtained show the sequence of crystallographic phases which is (Co, Fe)B, FeB, Fe2B, substrate material.
