Physical and chemical properties of nanometer sized semiconductor materials change drastically due to quantum size effect. Combination of both multiphoton absorption and quantum effects will be an interesting study. Multiphoton absorption of semiconducting nanomaterials is an exciting phenomenon which promotes many important applications. This paper reviews multi-photon absorption properties of different kinds of semiconducting nanomaterials starting from chalcogenide-based nanomaterials to perovskites nanomaterials and their applications in various fields. © Anita Publications.
