Helical long period grating in multicore fiber for simultaneous measurement of torsion and temperature
We fabricate a helical long period grating (HLPG) in a multicore fiber. A fiber torsion sensor with directional discrimination based on the HLPG is experimentally demonstrated. The resonant dips offer the ability of simultaneously measurement of torsion and temperature.
