The case study was selected as one of the most popular urban spaces for different activities in Sharjah. The main aim behind the study is to guide and support the development of the district, which can be taken as a reference for other public spaces. The paper presents the analysis of information collected based on a survey of 235 space users as well as seven specialized architects aiming for identifying possible pull and push factors in Al Majaz Waterfront urban space. The survey was designed to highlight the user’s perception regarding the overall environment based on the user experience of the place. Responses were summarized and categorized in terms of several dimensions.As a result, the research found that the users expressed many comments and suggestions that can be used as of push and pull factors to determine their satisfaction with the Al Majaz Waterfront. Factors such as (1) Various outdoor activities for different groups of people, (2) Greenery and natural environment and (3) protected pathways and routes for users are examples on how simple changes and factors could make a space more attractive to visitors.
