XR is a broad definition containing augmented reality, mixed reality, and virtual reality. Different from URLLC, XR traffic has multiple periodic data streams for one user. Based on the analysis of XR, the paper investigates some enhanced resource allocation and scheduling schemes to improve the user experience, while maintaining low power consumption and resources. It is proposed to introduce a playout buffer at UE to improve scheduling flexibility. In addition, to assist the gNB allocate the resource more efficiently, the priority classification and time-aligned transmission mechanisms are introduced.
