The shelters for older adults, is called the establishment where accommodation services are provided temporarily to older adults, while they are relocated to other institutions or their families, both are governmental institutions, but in Mexico there are residences that provide housing for the elderly, without any regulation.2 There is no clarity of functional old people’s home at the national or state level, since many of them function by public charity, some are only registered governmentally, but do not have a defined structure.
