The species of ant-like stone beetles belonging to the genus Euconnus Thomson, 1859, subgenus Cladoconnus Reitter, 1909, of the French fauna are reviewed. Lectotypes are designated for E. koziorowiczi Croissandeau, 1893, E. skalitzkyi Croissandeau, 1893, and E. suramensis Reitter, 1882. The occurrence of E. motschulskii (Motschulsky, 1837) is confirmed; that of E. similis (Weise, 1875) is excluded. Two species are new for the French fauna: E. toscanus Franz, 1966, and E. carinthiacus Ganglbauer, 1896. With E. denticornis (P. W. J.
