These fish seeds must be managed and used properly, so that it could make a major contribution to the welfare of the society. Food was a key factor to suport the survival and growth of glass eel. Information about the excact food during the glass eel stade was very important. This study aims to investigate the natural food of glass eel in the Cimandiri estuary. Samples of glass eel were taken from  Cimandiri  Estuary, West Java from October to December 2013. Analysis of the contents of  digestive tract were analyzed using the index of preponderance method (combination of occurance frequency and volumetric). The result showed that the  natural food of glass eel found in the digestive tract consist of the group of phytoplankton namely class Cyanophyceae (Oschilatoria sp., Coscinosdiscus sp., and Rhizoclonium sp.), class Bacillariophyceae (Navicula sp., and  Nitzschia sp., and class Clorophyceae (Chorella sp.). and zooplankton such as  Notholca sp., Nauplius sp. 摘要

西爪哇佩拉布汉拉图市西曼迪里河河口玻璃鳗资源相对丰富。这些鱼籽必须妥善管理和使用,这样才能对社会福利作出重大贡献。食物是支持玻璃鳗生存和生长的关键因素。在玻璃鳗鱼表演期间,关于具体食物的信息非常重要。本研究旨在调查西曼迪里河口玻璃鳗的天然食物。2013年10月至12月在西爪哇Cimandiri河口采集玻璃鳗样本。消化道内容物分析采用优势指数法(发生率与体积相结合)。结果表明,玻璃鳗消化道内的天然食物包括蓝藻纲(Oschilatoria sp.、Coscinosdiscus sp.、rhizzoclonium sp.)、硅藻纲(Navicula sp.、Nitzschia sp.)和藻纲(Chorella sp.)。玻璃鳗的天然饵料大小为3.7 ~ 900 Â μ m,占其开口宽度的1.1% ~ 24.7%。
