Chinese Journal of Preventive Veterinary Medicine is a national academic journal under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and organized by Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Chinese Journal of Preventive Veterinary Medicine is one of the core journals of Chinese language, Chinese natural science core journals, Chinese science and technology core journals, Chinese agricultural core journals, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), China Wanfang Database, and Chinese Journals (CD-ROM version), It is also included in China Journal Database, Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database, China Journal Network, China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, China Core Journal Database, China Science and Technology Paper Statistics Database, and other major databases in China. Since its inception in 1979, it has been ranked in the forefront of national animal husbandry and veterinary journals in terms of impact factor and citation frequency, and has been honored as the National Excellent Journal of Agriculture, the National Excellent Journal of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science and Technology, the Outstanding Journal in the Execution of CAJ-CD, and the Academic Core Journal of A+ category for a number of times.
