The Tianjin Vocational Schools Joint Journal is supervised by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, sponsored by the Tianjin Vocational Education and Adult Education Association, and led by Tianjin City Vocational College. It is sponsored by vocational schools, adult colleges and other units that voluntarily participate in and recognize the Tianjin Vocational Schools Joint Journal Work Regulations. In 1999, it was approved by the State Press and Publication Administration and named the Tianjin Adult Colleges Joint Journal when it was first published. It was renamed the Tianjin Vocational Schools Joint Journal in 2006. It was a quarterly when it was first published in 1999, and changed from a quarterly to a bimonthly in 2004, and from a bimonthly to a monthly in 2011. The Tianjin Vocational Schools Joint Journal is currently sponsored by more than 40 vocational schools, adult colleges and other units in Tianjin. It is based in Tianjin, facing the whole country, facing vocational education and adult education, facing science and scientific research, and timely reflecting the academic achievements and advanced experiences achieved in the reform and development of higher vocational colleges and adult colleges.

《天津职业院校联合学报》由天津市教育委员会主管,由天津市职业教育与成人教育学会主办,由天津城市职业学院牵头自愿参加并承认《天津职业院校联合学报工作条例》的职业院校、成人高校等单位承办。1999年经国家新闻出版署批准创刊，创刊时名为《天津成人高等学校联合学报》，自2006年起更名为《天津职业院校联合学报》。1999年创刊时为季刊，自2004年起由季刊变更为双月刊，自2011年起由双月刊变更为月刊。联合学报现由天津市40余家职业院校、成人高校等单位承办，立足天津，面向全国，面向职业教育和成人教育事业，面向科学和科研，及时反映高职院校和成人高校改革发展中取得的学术成果与先进经验。联合学报办刊以来，学术影响力和社会影响力不断提升。2015年被武汉大学科学评价研究中心（RCCSE）评为全国核心期刊，2018年被中国社会科学评价研究院评为“2018年度中国人文社会科学期刊AMI综合评价新刊入库期刊”，2022年被中国社会科学评价研究院评为“2022年度中国人文社会科学期刊AMI综合评价” 入库期刊，屡次被全国高职成高学报研究会评为核心期刊、十佳期刊、优秀期刊。
