South China Fisheries Science is an academic aquatic science and technology journal sponsored by the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fisheries Sciences and openly circulated at home and abroad. Founded in 2005 (former name: Southern Fisheries), it mainly reports papers, research briefs and reviews on fishery resources, fishing technology, fishery facilities, fishery environmental protection, aquaculture and stock enhancement, fishery biological diseases, aquatic product processing and comprehensive utilisation, as well as basic research on aquaculture, etc. The journal is based on the south and faces the whole country. In 2008, it was selected as a source journal of Chinese scientific and technological paper statistics (Chinese scientific and technological core journal), in 2011, it was selected as a core academic journal of RCCSE China, and it was successively selected as one of the Chinese Core Journals in 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2020 editions, and it was selected as one of the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) in 2013, and it was selected as a core academic journal of Scopus, Chemistry and Fisheries of the Netherlands and Chemistry of the United States in 2009. Scopus, American Chemical Abstracts (CA), American Cambridge Abstracts (Natural Science Edition) (CSA), British Zoological Record (ZR), British Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA), British Centre for International Agricultural and Biological Sciences Research (CABI), Russian Abstracts Magazine, and Polish Copernicus Index (IC), JST, and other international important JST and other important international search systems.

《南方水产科学》是由中国水产科学研究院南海水产研究所主办，国内外公开发行的学术类水产科技期刊。创刊于2005年（原名：南方水产），主要报道渔业资源、捕捞技术、渔业设施、渔业环境保护、水产养殖与增殖、渔业生物病害、水产品加工与综合利用以及水产基础研究等方面的论文、研究简报、综述等。本刊立足南方，面向全国，突出学术性、地域性、实用性和可读性，重点报道国内外渔业科研、生产的新技术、新成果及新动向。 2008年入选中国科技论文统计源期刊（中国科技核心期刊），2011年入选RCCSE中国核心学术期刊，连续入选《中文核心期刊要目总览》2011年版、2014年版、2017年版和2020年版，2013年入选中国科学引文数据库（CSCD）；2009年以来先后被荷兰Scopus、美国《化学文摘》（CA）、美国剑桥文摘（自然科学版）（CSA）、英国《动物学记录》（ZR）、英国《食品科技文摘》（FSTA）、英国《国际农业与生物科学研究中心》（CABI）、俄罗斯《文摘杂志》和波兰《哥白尼索引》（IC）、JST等多家国际重要检索系统收录。
