Pharmaceutical Biotechnology was founded in 1994. It is a national academic journal jointly sponsored by China Pharmaceutical University, China Medical Science and Technology Press and Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. It is a bimonthly, 16-mo, 112-page journal, and is publicly distributed at home and abroad. The domestic unified journal number is CN32-1488/R, and the international journal number is ISSN 1005-8915. It is a core journal of Chinese pharmacy and biology. This journal mainly publishes the latest research results and application progress of modern biotechnology in medicine and health, chemistry, food industry, agriculture and other related fields. It is an important window for domestic and foreign exchanges of innovative research in the fields of genetic engineering, protein engineering, cell engineering, enzyme engineering, fermentation engineering, etc.; the journal embodies the characteristics of academic, scientific, authoritative, cutting-edge and strong readability.

《药物生物技术》1994年创刊是中国药科大学、中国医药科技出版社和中国药学会共同主办的国家级学术期刊双月刊A4开本96页面向国内外公开发行国内统一刊号CN32-1488/R国际连续出版物号ISSN 1005-8915。系中国药学和生物学核心期刊。本刊主要刊登现代生物技术在医药卫生、化学和食品工业、农业等相关领域中的最新研究成果及应用进展方面的文章是基因工程、蛋白质工程、细胞工程、酶工程、发酵工程等领域的创新研究进行国内外交流的重要窗口；刊物体现了学术性科学性权威性前沿性可读性的特点。本刊是国内唯一的一本将基因工程技术应用于药物领域研究和产业化的专业性刊物对引导新生物技术在药学方面的应用和发展对推动全球生物经济的可持续发展起到一定的先锋作用。本刊从1994年创刊到现在敏锐地、适时地以其全新的药物生物技术的内容和概念引领国内药学学科向生物技术领域渗透发展是其它传统医药学刊物所不能包含的。
